Embodimentorientierte Sexualtherapie

Abstract
The following text consists of several slightly abbreviated excerpts from my book Embodimentorientierte Sexual- therapie. Grundlagen und Anwendung des Sexocorporel (2020). The text first gives a brief description of the theo- retical approach of embodiment, the quintessence of which with regard to sex therapy is: “Sexuality is embodied.” This mode of embodiment is unfolded in the context of an expanded biopsychosocial model in the perspective of sexu- al health as defined by the WHO. The conclusion and focus of the text is a first look at how the theoretical assumptions of embodiment in sexocorporel are implemented in sex therapy.
