Abstract
The Deutsche Ärzteblatt 2020, Nr. 39 reported the results of the study “Health and Sexuality in Germany” by Arne Dekker, Peer Briken et al. of the University Medical Center Hamburg- Eppendorf. One of its core statements is that physical and mental illnesses can have significant negative effects on peo- ple’s sexual activity and sexual satisfaction. It also points out that the topic of sexuality receives too little attention during medical training and is often still taboo in daily practice. In addition, the study deplores the lack of appropriate materials that adequately address patients, i.e., openly, competently and carefully about their sexual experience. The concept presented below is intended to help change this.
